PS 95 School Song...
A famous 95 graduate
PS/MS 95 Alumni, Bess Myerson, a New York favorite daughter who basked in the public eye for decades — as Miss America in 1945, as a television personality and as a force in public affairs died on Dec. 14, 2014 at her home in Santa Monica, Calif. She was 90. Ms. Myerson grew up in the neighborhood and attended 95 through 8th grade. In 1937 she was one of just a few 95 students that was accepted into Music and Art High School. On one occasion Ms. Myerson was put on the spot and asked to sing for the Mayor and without hesitation called up a number of politicians in the room, (all 95 alumni) and all began to sing the 95 school song.
