​Technology with Ms. Barelli (Grades K-5)

This elementary tech class offers a fun and engaging introduction to key topics such as coding, LEGO robotics, physical computing, Minecraft Education, and digital citizenship.
​
  • Coding: Students will learn to create their own games and apps using simple programming languages. This hands-on experience encourages creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Computing: In this segment, students will connect their coding skills to real-world projects, allowing them to create interactive devices that move and light up!
  • LEGO Robotics: Students will build and program their very own robots using LEGO kits. This activity promotes teamwork and collaboration while applying important STEM principles.
  • Minecraft Education: In this exciting part of the class, students will use Minecraft Education to explore coding and design in a virtual world. They will work on projects that encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Digital Citizenship: The class will also cover the importance of being safe and responsible online. Students will learn how to navigate the digital world thoughtfully and kindly.

Welcome to Digital Literacy, a dynamic middle school class designed to immerse students in the world of technology. In this class, you'll be exposed to a variety of tech resources and learn valuable skills that are essential in today's digital age.

Course Highlights:
  • Coding: Dive into programming languages and develop your own software applications.
  • Graphic Design: Learn to create visually appealing designs using professional tools.
  • Photography: Master the art of capturing and editing stunning photographs.
